BEING A HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
- operate front-end loader, motor grader, roller, and other heavy equipment on project sites
- work includes road construction, excavation, truck loading, stockpiling, spreading materials
- this will be out-of-door work in all weather conditions
- 45 TO 55 HOURS OF WORK PER WEEK

RESPONSIBILITIES
- operate heavy equipment on road construction jobs
- control machine speed, direction, bucket height and bucket angle
- perform daily preventative maintenance such as inspection and fluid checks
- notify management of any equipment or safety issues
- read and understand civil plan drawings
- manage time and schedule tasks for work crews
- finish-grading for correct grade (blue-top and gps)
