Chief Mechanic
BEING THE CHIEF MECHANIC
- RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT FLEET
- LEAD SUBORDINATE FIELD MECHANICS ON MULTIPLE REMOTE JOB SITES
- MAINTAIN, DIAGNOSE, AND REPAIR COMPLEX MECHANICAL, HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ON CONSTRUCTION SITES
- PROVIDE REMOTE ASSISTANCE TO FIELD mechanics in diagnostics, part ordering and responding to other technical questions

RESPONSIBILITIES
- track and record completed work and update status of open work orders
- work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
- assist subordinate mehcanics by providing support
- train new employees on equipment maintenance processes and systems
- operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect equipment for defects
- perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with vendor and oem standards
- document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
